Jerry Kim, who had suffered from weak and dry skin since his childhood, discovered the power of aromatherapy based on his deep understanding and passion for herbs. After he realised that most of his personal care products consisted of synthetic fragrance and harmful compounds, Jerry started to make safe cosmetics, as a first-generation aromatherapist in Korea.

AROMATICA is an innovative brand that started many clean beauty movements in Korea. The brand began producing cosmetics in 2004 with the mission to produce skincare without synthetic fragrances.

AROMATICA has been an official partner of the EWG Safe Cosmetics Campaign since 2009 and has been introducing and informing EWG and its campaigns in Korea.

AROMATICA was the first brand which introduced silicon-free and sulfate-free shampoos in Korea. None of their products contains silicon oil and sulfate surfactant for silky hair because silicone oil causes respiration problem in the scalp. The brand has invented a unique formula to use a plant-derived surfactant and a variety of herbal extracts. As a result, they successfully developed a shampoo that is safe and has an excellent texture and detergency.
